A real story.

I also feel like I need to give you a real story to give you an idea of what this is really going to be all about.

We'll start with the classic. This past weekend we sat down to do some wedding planning. Work out the budget, figure out what we want.

So, in the midst of this, one of my bridesmaids called and left me a voicemail. On the voicemail, I hear:

"Hey, Nikki, it's ____. Just calling to tell you that I bought my dress for the wedding. I think it's like the one that ___ (another bridesmaid) texted you. It's really cute and it was on sale for $60 and I bought it. Anyway, life is pretty crazy here, so I just decided to buy it."

Ohhhhhkay.

So, I haven't decided on bridesmaids dresses yet. I haven't decided for sure on colors, shades, styles, if it will be all the same, different, whatnot.

So Bridesmaid number 2 who had texted me the picture calls to see if I've heard. She says, "What was she thinking? Why would you buy the dress?" My thoughts exactly!

I finally end up talking to her, she's going a mile-a-minute telling me about how life is crazy and she wanted to just get one thing taken care of. Then, she proceeds to tell me that she didn't buy the dress in the darker, teal color that I liked, but rather, she bought it in the lighter blue color because it was in her size. Oh, but don't worry, she assures me, there's a 90-day return policy.

So I basically tell her that she hast o return it. The next day she e-mails me saying, "I hope you understand why I bought the dress." I say, "Well, I think I understood, but please don't buy anything else until you hear from me on what I've decided."

In my head I'm screaming, "It's my wedding! Let me pick the dress. For that little escapade, I'm tempted to chose another dress, just to spite you!"

Okay, well, I'm a little childish right there. But anyway, dress probably returned? I hope so! Otherwise she just bought herself a nice, $60, summer dress for another occasion!

Here's the dress she bought, wrong color and all.
